OVERCOMING BURNOUT

Therapeutic Workshop

Jungle Mountain View

Are you no longer able to enjoy work?

Finding that you are stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or exhausted when thinking about going to work?
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or exhausted when you are home from work?
Do you find that you have nothing left to pour into yourself or your family?
Do you have little compassion or others, or way too much sympathy for others?
Have you lost a sense of self or identity?
Do you dread work?

This support group was specifically developed due to the change of burnout symptoms that seemed to have significantly increased since the pandemic.  The group focuses on clinically-supported themes and strategies to address burnout and related symptoms, as well as addressing related variables like relationships, self-worth, boundaries, coping skills, emotional awareness, and self-awareness.

Different Types of Burnout

Burnout can look different for everyone, however, there are three main types of burnout:

  1. Overload burnout: When you feel that your work/life demands are too much or too hard. You may feel like you’re stretched too thin and aren’t able to keep up with everything.

  2. Under-challenge burnout: When you feel bored or unmotivated by your work/life. This might occur because you feel like your work isn’t noticed or appreciated or if you’re in a “dead-end” job or life situation.

  3. Neglect burnout: When you feel helpless, uncertain, and frustrated because you don’t know what’s expected of you. As a result, you may feel incompetent and unmotivated to do your work/life roles.

The Group

This is a closed group, which means that participants in the group have an opportunity to begin and end the group together, developing a greater sense of connection, emotional safety, and belonging.  Separate groups have been made for men and women, in order to improve emotional safety, as well as for the inclusivity of specific strategies that support the decrease of burnout.

Participants will

  • process emotions
