CLINICAL PRACTICUM INTERNSHIP

We are seeking clinical practicum interns to serve individuals, couples, and families in a private practice setting. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality therapy, participating in team meetings and trainings, marketing for their caseload as needed, and alligning themselves with the guidelines of our practice.

We are growing our team and are looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented clinical practicum interns.  Interns that are a good fit will display openness to feedback and a desire to learn and grow. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct clinical therapy services and participates in the coordination of behavioral health services for patients by performing the following duties:

  • Conducts intake assessments for all new patients

  • Develops individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients

  • Maintains clinical documentation/records as required by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and Restoration Psychological Services

  • Administers best practice standards in all patient sessions

  • Establishes culturally competent behavioral health services

  • Provides accurate diagnoses

  • Provides patient with community resources and referrals, when needed

  • Provides education and support to family members of a patient, when needed

  • Participates in ongoing training as required

  • Provides crisis intervention, when needed

  • Actively participates in clinical supervision and shows openness to feedback

  • Facilitates support groups

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Our practice requires a 12 month practicum process

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Able to participate in a collaborative team environment

  • Able to maintain and protect patient confidentiality and ethical standards

  • Displays trustworthiness within professional and clinical settings

  • We are focused on providing an extensive amount of quality clinical training within our practice, as well as teach healthy boundaries and avoid burnout.

  • If the practicum intern is found to be a good fit for our practice, opportunities for employment following completion of the practicum are possible.

  • For Practicum interns that are full participants in internship, and graduate program approves, Practicum interns may be eligible for Educational Stipend.  This is is designed to support time that is spent in training and participating in clinical development within internship, as well as travel expenses.
